Hi! My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Haskett, and I am a counselor-in-training at the Texas Counseling Center in Pearland under the supervision of Cynthia Rojas, MA, LPC. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.
My professional background includes extensive experience working with individuals in crisis, which has helped me build comfort and competence in working with people from diverse backgrounds. Drawing from my own life challenges, I bring empathy, understanding, and a genuine sense of connection to my work. I am especially passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community and people facing significant life transitions, providing culturally sensitive and affirming care to all.
Born and raised in Texas, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont before returning to this area with a strong commitment to supporting my community. My counseling philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that growth, much like nature, requires patience, nurturing, and resilience—values shaped by both my professional journey and personal experiences of transformation. In personal life I enjoy spending time with my partner and our animals, traveling to new places, and finding peace through mindfulness in outdoor adventures. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, dedicated to empowering clients to uncover their strengths, build resilience, and achieve meaningful growth. Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges or exploring personal development, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
