Hi there! My name is Mitchell Dougharty and I am a counselor in training at Texas Counseling Center under the supervision of Cynthia Rojas, MA, LPC. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University along with a certificate in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy.
Whether working with couples or individuals, I strive to create a space where my clients can feel truly understood. My approach to counseling is guided by Existential theory where I work collaboratively with clients to uncover their personal values and unique sense of purpose to shape their own path that feels authentic to them.
Life is a journey full of highs and lows—beautiful and rewarding, yet sometimes overwhelming and uncertain. Each person’s path is unique, and my goal is to help guide you toward a place of greater clarity, balance, and fulfillment. I believe that growth and healing are possible for everyone; it starts with the willingness to embrace change and take meaningful steps toward thriving. I look forward to helping you through whatever challenges you are presently facing and joining you on your journey.
Outside of sessions I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my wife and 3 cats, chatting with tea friends, soap making, and crafting with wood/leather.
