Hello! My name is Anna Nguyen, a compassionate LPC-in-training under the skillful supervision of Cynthia Rojas, MS, LPC, at Texas Counseling Center. I am a graduate student at the University of Houston at Clear Lake pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I believe in meeting clients where they are and committed to empowering individuals and families to reach their full potential so they can live healthier lives. Every child, individual, couple, family, and circumstances are unique; therefore, I tailor my approach to fit clients’ specific needs. I believe in individualized care.
As a first-generation immigrant in America, I understand the importance of multicultural competency and diversity. I welcome clients from all different backgrounds and religious affiliations and take different worldviews and cultural norms into consideration in the therapeutic process. I’m here with genuine curiosity and empathetic understanding.
My theoretical approach is holistic and integrative, combining various techniques including but not limited to: Person-Centered, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Family Systems, and Relational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).
