Hello there! My name is Camie Smith and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, Supervised by Samiyyah Sabur, LPC-S. I’m dedicated to helping individuals like you navigate life’s challenges and rediscover your inner strength.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse backgrounds and demographics, both in private practice and community mental health settings. I’ve been able to help individuals who have ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism, and various other mental health challenges.
When you choose to work with me, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy. I draw upon evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy and solution-focused therapy to help you reframe unhealthy thinking patterns and focus on achieving your goals in the present and future.
My specialty lies in working with women who may find themselves in a “quarter life” or “mid-life crisis”, struggling with who they are and their next journey while also defining themselves in their relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and romantic partners. Together, we’ll explore your unique journey, identify areas for growth, and empower you to cultivate confidence from within.
My belief is in the importance of healthy boundaries, effective communication, and resilience. Through our work together, my aim is to equip you with the skills and self-awareness needed to navigate life’s complexities as your authentic self while extending yourself grace in the process.
Ultimately, my goal is to support you in developing a deep sense of self-worth and the tools to foster meaningful connections and relationships. I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way as you embark on your journey toward increased confidence, empowerment, and fulfillment in all areas of your life.
Fun Fact:
Some of my comfort shows/movies include: A Different World, Veronica Mars, and Rush Hour 2.
