Hi! My name is Tracy Carlson, I am a counselor in training under the supervision of Cynthia L. Rojas MA, LPC. I’m a master’s student at William & Mary (2025) earning my graduate degree in clinical and mental health counseling, with a specialization in military and veterans.
I believe that everyone deserves care and support for their mental health. I am passionate about helping people learn to navigate life’s challenges by exploring what matters most to them. By working to understand the many influences in our lives–from childhood and family history to relationships, work, and the world around us – we can uncover positive, healthy ways to learn from our experiences.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and internal family systems. In other words, I believe in helping people help themselves. Therapy is not about leading to an answer, but about helping people find the answer within themselves. I strive to empower people, especially those who have not been able to empower themselves. I want to give a voice to those who have been denied one, whether by themselves or others. I would love to work with you and help you explore your future.
I am an 8th generation Texan, born and raised in Houston. I moved to Missouri City in April of 2024 with my husband, dog, and five cats. We love our rescue menagerie! I am also a fine art photographer, and I travel through the Southwest shooting the desert, mountains, and small towns. I’m a big fan of having a creative outlet, and I believe everyone has an artistic gift inside of them.
