My name is Tracey Schultz, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) at
the Texas Counseling Center under the supervision of Jackeline Hurtado, MEd, LPC-S.
I believe that each of us has the inherent capacity to grow, heal, and thrive—although we all need support at times. I value the power of the therapeutic relationship and the transformative change that can occur within a safe, trusting, and supportive dynamic. My counseling style is person-centered and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and other evidence-based approaches. I tailor my work to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages – from young to mature.
Before entering the counseling field, I had a successful career in consulting and global corporate roles. While I appreciated the challenges and rewards of that work, I’ve always felt called to counseling. My professional and life experiences allow me to connect deeply with others, particularly those facing life transitions, personal growth challenges, or the demands of high-pressure careers. I understand the stress and complexity that can come with these experiences, and I strive to offer a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Outside of the counseling room, I’m an avid traveler and lifelong learner who enjoys exploring different cultures. I find peace and renewal in nature—whether I’m kayaking in the bayous, scuba diving in beautiful waters, or camping at a park. I enjoy reading a good book and spending time with my family, friends and dog.
Taking the step to begin counseling is one of the bravest and most important decisions you can make. I’ve seen firsthand the difference it can make. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
