My name is Tracey Schultz, and I am a counselor-in-training at the Texas Counseling Center at Pearland location under the supervision of Cynthia L. Rojas, M.A., LPC. I am currently earning my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
I believe we each have the capacity within us to grow and thrive. Although at times, we all need support. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the change that can happen with the support of that healthy dynamic. I am a person-centered counselor that leverages Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other techniques. I tailor my approach to what best suits my client and their needs. I enjoy working with adults as well as children.
After a successful career in consulting and global corporate roles, I transitioned to counseling because I have always been drawn to this work. I enjoyed the challenges and rewards of my previous career. I had the opportunity to work with a group diverse of people across the world. Thanks to my career and life experiences, I find that I can relate to and connect with people in a meaningful way. I understand the challenges and stress that can go hand in hand with demanding careers, transitions and different stages of life.
My counseling approach is a holistic approach of mind, body and spirit. I use a person-centered integrative approach that I tailor to each individual’s needs and goals.
I love learning about different cultures and am an avid world traveler. In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature. I can be found kayaking in the bayous, scuba diving in warm waters, reading, and spending time with my family, friends and dog.
You’ve taken one of the most challenging steps by deciding to get help through counseling. I have seen the difference counseling can make and look forward to meeting with you soon.
