Hello! My name is Paige Smith and I am an LPC intern at Texas Counseling Center under the supervision of Cynthia Rojas, MS, LPC. I am a graduate student at the University of Houston at Clear Lake working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. In therapy settings, I strive to work collaboratively with individuals to create a safe and growth-oriented space.
My theoretical approach is integral, including Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems. Because each individual is unique, I adjust my approach to serve clients of all backgrounds.
I am passionate about working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families looking to improve their mental health and wellness.
Outside the session, I love going to the gym, spending quality time with my friends and family, and reading at coffee shops. My favorite authors include Brene Brown, Nicole LePera, and Suzanne Collins.
Pursuing therapy is the first step to a new beginning. I appreciate your bravery in reaching out for help and I cannot wait to collaborate with you on your mental health journey!
