Hello! My name is Kelly Cabrera, and I am an LPC-associate under the supervision of Jennifer Gonzalez MS, LPC-S. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston, and I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University.
I was born and raised in Houston, TX, and I am Spanish/English bilingual. In my free time, I love to work out and spend time with family, friends, and my boyfriend. I also enjoy reading, watching scary movies, and spending time with my dog.
I am passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life’s challenges, with extensive experience in supporting individuals facing low self-esteem, bullying, school-related issues, suicide ideation, self-harm, relationship struggles, grief, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. The therapeutic approaches I use with my clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I’m here to support you on your journey, no matter where you find yourself. With a warm, nonjudgmental approach, I create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Whether you’re navigating challenges or celebrating successes, I believe that every experience is an opportunity for growth.
My goal is to be a compassionate guide, helping you uncover your strengths and find your path forward. Together, we’ll work through the highs and lows, empowering you to embrace your authentic self. I’m honored to be a part of your story and look forward to walking alongside you. Let’s take this journey together!
