Hello, I am Victoria Cuellar MEd, LPC, NCC and welcome to my biography. I am happy you have arrived at Texas Counseling Center to find peace, hope, and direction. I hope you take this time to evaluate if I am the right therapist for you. I have worked in school settings for 21 years, 18 years as a classroom teacher and 3 years as a high school counselor. Being in the classroom for many years has given me a natural insight into how children deal with stress, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. This encouraged me to want to help children and their families overcome their barriers so they could thrive in our ever-changing society. I strongly believe having a sense of authentic self and values will benefit everyone to overcome barriers and improve perception of self.
I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as behavioral and emotional issues. I also work alongside individuals who are looking to improve their overall wellness and looking to heal. My goal is to help you develop a sense of mindfulness, understanding of self, and provide a safe place to heal and grow. I believe taking an eclectic approach to therapy allows you to explore a tailored path for your specific needs.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, spoiling my dog Leia Malone, road trips to the hill country, watching movies, baking, trying new recipes, and spending time in prayer. Fun fact about me is I have an unhealthy love for sloths.
“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”
