Hello, my name is Joshua Pulliam, and I am an LPC-A under the supervision of Lyndsee Harrison, working at the Texas Counseling Center Pearland Location. My Counseling perspective is grounded in a person-centered approach: unconditional positive regard, congruence and empathy. Another way to say it is that I am about partnering with you to help you grow, achieve your goals and get you moving forward in life.
My passion is working with men and couples. I view my role as a guide, where you get to pick the destination. I do my best to tailor my approach to you and your life context, but as far as my style goes, you will see various elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existentialism, and Internal Family Systems as you work with me.
I spent the last ten years serving the community through teaching at a high school and am excited to bring all my experiences with me as I continue my journey. If you are seriously considering counseling, then you are on your way to taking your first step toward meeting your goals and changing your life. I know that’s how counseling left me. Whoever you decide to partner with, I hope they take you where you want to be.
