Hello, my name is Johnathan Simms, and I am a counselor-in-training at the Texas Counseling Center Katy location under the supervision of Lizareli Bravo, MA, LPC. I am currently enrolled in a graduate program at Grand Canyon University, where I am working toward earning my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I am also a teacher in the Houston area with a passion for supporting both youth and adults in their personal growth and development.
Through my experience in education, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, which has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively and create a structured and supportive environment. My approach emphasizes respect and understanding, allowing clients to feel comfortable as they navigate challenges and work toward their goals.
I am passionate about helping individuals build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients feel heard and valued, empowering them to make meaningful changes in their lives.
