
Hello, I’m Laura Rodriguez, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Texas Counseling Center in Katy. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
I was raised in El Salvador and moved to the United States as a teenager, which has deeply shaped my understanding of culture, identity, resilience, and healing. I am especially passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating the impact of childhood trauma, emotional wounds, family conflict, and past experiences of abuse or neglect.
I support individuals who may struggle with low self-esteem, difficulty setting boundaries, anxiety, depression, grief, and unhealthy relationship patterns, often rooted in early family dynamics. Together, we explore how these experiences continue to show up in your life today and work toward creating healthier patterns, stronger self-worth, and more fulfilling relationships.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and holistic. I primarily utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand their inner world, reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and heal wounded parts of themselves. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches, including elements of yoga and body-based practices, to support emotional regulation and deeper healing.
In addition to my clinical training, I am a Certified Holistic Coach and Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor, which allows me to take a whole-person approach to healing. I believe true transformation happens when we learn to balance the mind, body, and spirit, not just manage symptoms.
My goal is to foster an environment of clarity, empowerment, and authenticity.
