Hello, my name is Monique Garrett, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Texas Counseling Center Missouri City location, under the supervision of Dr. Shawna Corley, PhD, LPC S. With over 20 years of experience in leadership, social services, case management, education, business, and counseling, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life. I am deeply passionate about helping clients navigate challenges and achieve lasting stability.
I provide therapy for adults ages 18 and older and children ages 8 to 12, tailoring my approach to each individual and recognizing that no two people are the same. My approach is eclectic and practical, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, faith based principles, and play therapy techniques for children. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, and supportive space where you can truly be yourself and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. During therapy, I serve as a sounding board, coach, and encourager, helping you overcome obstacles and take meaningful steps toward your goals.
Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking growth, I am here to guide you through what may be holding you back, helping you heal, reconnect with your authentic self, and move forward with confidence. Seeing clients gain resilience, self esteem, and clarity is what motivates me every day.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and continuing to learn and grow personally and professionally.
