Hello, my name is Raquel Olaya, and I am a Counselor in Training at the Texas Counseling Center Katy location under the supervision of Lizareli Bravo, LPC, at Texas Counseling Center. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe that meaningful change begins within a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
My therapeutic approach draws from person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I take an overall eclectic approach, adapting and blending techniques to meet your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Together, we will develop a personalized plan that supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being.
I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, obsessive-compulsive disorder, life transitions, and postpartum adjustments. Becoming a mother has deepened my understanding of the emotional shifts and identity changes that can come with parenthood, and I am especially passionate about supporting new and expecting mothers during this season of life.
As a bilingual counselor, I offer services in both English and Spanish. I am committed to providing culturally sensitive therapy that honors each client’s background, values, and lived experiences.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.
