Hi, I’m Nithya Shakti, also known as Nithya Shaktiroopananda, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Texas Counseling Center Missouri City. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.
Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, highs and lows that can sometimes feel overwhelming. But amidst the chaos, I believe there’s immense value in pausing to embark on an inward journey – a journey that can lead to profound self-discovery, resilience, and healing.
As a therapist, I believe that every individual possesses immense strength and power within themselves. My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can tap into that inner strength and overcome life’s hurdles.
Over the course of my counseling journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds – children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Together, we’ve tackled issues such as grief, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns.
Originally from Singapore and now in Houston, Texas, I bring a multicultural perspective to our sessions. I am bilingual and I speak both English and Tamil.
