Hello! My name is Aisha Silat, and I am a counselor-in-training at the Texas Counseling Center in Katy under the supervision of Cynthia Rojas, LPC-S. I am currently enrolled in a Professional Counseling Program at the University of Houston Victoria-Katy, where I am earning my master’s degree. I am passionate about helping people face life’s ups and downs, trust their own voice, and feel stronger in who they are.
After a life-changing event that showed me and those around me just how important mental health is, I was moved to pursue a path in counseling. Coming from a South Asian background where mental health isn’t often talked about, I want to help change that and make support more accessible. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where people feel understood and encouraged to grow. With my cultural insight and dedication, I’m committed to helping individuals and families find healing and strength.
My professional background entails working closely with people in fast-paced and diverse settings, where I developed strong skills in communication, patience, and understanding. These experiences taught me how to meet people where they are, handle challenges with care, and create an environment where others feel respected and supported. I value staying curious and open-minded so I can keep expanding my skills and offer care that truly fits each client’s unique needs. Above all, I want people to feel safe, respected, and supported as they work toward healing, clarity, and growth.
I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey.
