Hello, I’m Laura Rodriguez, MEd, LPC-Associate at Texas Counseling Center in Katy, supervised by Lauren Hawkins, MA, LPC-S. As a bilingual counselor (English and Spanish), I am passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow. I was raised in El Salvador and moved to the United States as a teenager, which has given me a deep appreciation for culture, identity, and resilience elements I honor in my work with clients.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, supporting individuals through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and family dynamics. My mission is to walk alongside my clients in their healing journey, helping them develop healthy coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence to create a meaningful and authentic life.
In my counseling practice, I use a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Reality Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. I believe in a collaborative process in which the client and professional identify what’s holding the client back and explore new ways to support their well-being in daily life.
In addition to my counseling training, I am a Certified Holistic Coach and hold a Trauma-Informed Yoga certification, which enriches my perspective on the connection between mind, body, and spirit. While my focus is rooted in clinical practice, these certifications allow me to bring an integrative and compassionate approach to supporting long-term healing.
My goal is to foster an environment of clarity, empowerment, and authenticity. Whether this is your first experience in counseling or you are returning to therapy, I am honored to walk with you as you navigate life’s challenges and discover the strengths within yourself to live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
