Hello! My name is Tiffany Wilson, I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist at Texas Counseling Center in Missouri City.
In my vast clinical experience, I have been privileged to provide counseling and skill-building to clients and their loved ones who struggle with persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, trauma, sexual problems, family conflict and marital issues.
I am passionate about working with individuals who have experienced sexual trauma and abuse. I am also fervent in working with people who have unhealthy sexual behaviors. Understanding that sexual offenses also indirectly affect the people related to or involved with the individuals who offend, I am committed to working with everyone who has faced the subtle effects of these offenses. This is because I recognize that trauma, mental health, and criminal offenses have an irrefutable relationship that demonstrates that healing and justice can co-exist. I am ambitious to achieve a common goal of facilitating healthy change to lower recidivism, improve mental health, and restore families & marriages.
I employ a holistic approach to integrate the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional aspects of well-being. However, this approach recalibrates as I aim to tailor my clients’ therapy experience and allow them to take the initiative in helping me understand their world. As a result, I am able to integrate knowledge, skills, cultural awareness, attitudes, and values.
As a therapist, I devote myself to providing professional services integrated with empathy and compassion. I also incorporate Christian faith to help others find their way and strengthen their spiritual life. I encourage my clients to develop tenacity and resilience as it will enable them to navigate unchartered parts of their lives. Consequently, they can embrace the healing journey and remain steadfast.
Above all, I am a virtuous person guided by 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, which tells us that God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
