Hi, I’m Briana Harper, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Texas Counseling Center in Missouri City , under the supervision of Dr. Shawna M. Corley, Ph.D., LPC-S. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Services, with a focus on Child and Family Development, from Texas Southern University, and I completed my Master of Education in Marriage, Family, and Couple Counseling at Lamar University in 2022. I’m passionate about supporting individuals on their journeys toward healing, self-discovery, and growth. I believe that while our pasts may shape us, they do not define us. Instead, they can be powerful catalysts for resilience and transformation.
With several years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals facing homelessness. I currently serve as a school-based mental health counselor, where I support elementary-aged children through emotional and behavioral challenges in the school setting. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping clients build emotional intelligence, heal generational and relational wounds, and cultivate the tools they need to lead empowered, meaningful lives.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-informed methods, always guided by the strengths, needs, and goals of each client. Together, we can create a supportive, nurturing space where you can grow, heal, and move forward with confidence on your unique path.
