Allie Cannon

Hello, my name is Allie Cannon, and I am a Counselor in Training at the Texas Counseling Center Sugar Land location, under the supervision of Bonnie Simien, LPC-S.

I believe every person carries a story that deserves to be heard with care. My work centers on supporting teens and young adults as they move through anxiety, depression, and the pivotal life transitions that shape who they are becoming. Before entering the counseling field, I served as a 988 Crisis Support Specialist, an experience that taught me the power of steady presence and the courage it takes for someone to reach out in their most vulnerable moments. That foundation guides me today as I help clients build resilience, self-understanding, and confidence in their own voice.

I work from a person-centered CBT approach that blends warmth, curiosity, and practical tools. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe enough to explore their inner world and strong enough to grow within it. I value collaboration and authenticity, and I strive to meet each client exactly where they are, honoring their lived experience and the strength it takes to share it.

I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity development, and the emotional weight that comes with major life changes. A fun fact about me is that I love playing the Dark Souls games because they teach resilience through challenge. I often find that the lessons learned in those worlds mirror the courage and persistence that show up in the therapy room.
