Hello, my name is Emily Lejarza, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) at Texas Counseling Center- Pearland, supervised by Dr. Emily Horton. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Houston–Clear Lake.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where clients can show up as themselves without fear of judgment. My goal is to help clients feel understood while working together to build insight, confidence, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and I have a special passion for supporting children and teens. I believe play is a child’s natural language, and I value creating an environment where young clients feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically and safely.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I have experience working with children and adolescents using play-based interventions and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), as well as treating OCD and anxiety-related disorders using CBT and ERP.
I work with clients experiencing:
- Anxiety Disorders
- OCD
- Perfectionism
- Depression
- ADHD
- Stress and emotional regulation difficulties
My hope is that clients leave therapy feeling supported, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.
