Hello, my name is Bridgette Brown, and I am a Counselor-in-Training at the Texas Counseling Center’s Missouri City location, under the supervision of Cynthia Rojas, MS, LPC. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am deeply committed to supporting mental health and emotional well-being.
Prior to entering the counseling field, I spent over 15 years in public education as an elementary school teacher. My experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds has equipped me with valuable insight and empathy, which I bring into my counseling practice.
I am currently gaining hands-on experience through supervised clinical training. My areas of interest include anxiety, trauma-informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
My goal is to support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, fostering resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth. I am dedicated to continuously developing my skills in active listening, empathetic communication, and evidence-based practices, while learning from both my mentors and the clients I serve.
